Grease 3?

Though I wasn’t aware of it, apparently Paramount has been in talks with Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta to a make a sequel to their 1978 blockbuster Grease.

It’s going to be called Grease 3 (there was a perfectly awful Grease 2) and all I know about it is listed below.

TRAVOLTA AND NEWTON-JOHN TO MAKE GREASE SEQUEL?

JOHN TRAVOLTA and OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN are reportedly in talks to star in a sequel to their movie GREASE - 26 years after the hit musical debuted.

The pair scored a huge hit with the 1978 movie, which was set in the 1950s with Travolta's character DANNY ZUKO and NewtonJohn's SANDY OLSSON falling in love while at high school.

In the sequel, which would be set in 1980, their characters meet up again at a Rydell
High School reunion and fall back in love.

According to reports, the script is currently being worked on and both stars are interested in reprising their roles.

A source says, "They loved working with each other then and really
hope that can pair up again."

GREASE 3 CHANGED TO SUIT TRAVOLTA?

Apparently Paramount [is] still trying to coax John Travolta into doing the long-planned "Grease 3".

According to Contact Music, the script has now slightly changed: It would now be set in 1980, with Travolta and Olivia Newton-John's characters meeting up again at a Rydell High School reunion and falling back in love. Awwww...

Apparently Travolta and Newton-John like the sound of it better now. "They loved working with each other then and really hope that can pair up again", says a source.

I hope it works out! It's my wife's (and mine) favorite musical and has a lot of sentimental value!
